The Grade 1 class at Coop School is full of energy, curiosity, and imagination!
The class is at full capacity for the 2013-2014 school year. We have a diverse group and we learn so much about each other and from each other. The students have been exploring life cycles this year, meeting their community leaders and helpers, learning how to take care of their environment, discussing the healthiest choices for their bodies, and about the science that surrounds fossils and dinosaurs. The students work very hard to become good readers while in grade 1. They focus on reading strategies in a small group setting to insure their individual needs are more closely met. In grade 1 we have a class economy to help us focus on being responsible members as well as participating members of a community. We are having a great year and we look forward to charting our growth at the end of this school year!
